Millie’s House Early Learning Centres have two centres in Christchurch, three in Wellington and three in Lower Hutt. All of different sizes, locations and styles. In city or suburb, our centres welcome applications from kaiako who have a passion to teach ECE, choose to work in a centre that puts the education and wellbeing of tamariki first and is committed to team wellbeing and professional growth.

From time to time, we actively advertise for a specific position. However, we also regularly look at CVs and consider applications from kaiako who would like to be kept in mind for future positions.

We are always open to and welcome applications from kaiako, and you never know. The perfect job may be on the horizon, but we are just not yet ready to advertise. Sometimes receiving a great CV can open an opportunity for a number of kaiako who might be keen to take up a role in a different part of the team staffing puzzle.

Wellington City - Hopper St & Basin Reserve

Come and join us at Hopper St or the Basin Reserve, where we have fun in our city side, medium sized, fabulous havens of joy for our city kids and city kaiako.
We are two centres in Wellington City; Millie's House Basin Reserve at the top of Kent Tce, and Millie's House Hopper St, on the edge of the city and Mt Cook. Millie’s likes company and we like to visit each other too. You are not just joining a centre; you’re joining a family.

Christchurch - Armagh St & Shirley Rd

Come and join us at Armagh St or Shirley Rd. These centres are a little different from each other, so you might like to think about the size, style and location that suits you.

Armagh St is an inner-city centre. 100 place centre, beautifully repurposed from an old Magistrates Courthouse, to a big centre with small teams and small group sizes. The building, location and vibe is incredible.

Shirley Rd is a smaller 56 place centre beautifully repurposed from an old medical centre, to a fabulous centre with easy indoor-outdoor flow, small teams and small group sizes. We are a new and growing centre, with excitement galore!

Wellington - Oxford St, Tawa

Come and join us at Oxford St, Tawa. We are a small 34 place over two tamariki centre, however, we are also getting a new and fabulous extension and renovation so we can welcome pēpē into our very special place.
Roles are definitely on the horizon, and we are very much interested in hearing from kaiako who have a passion for babies and toddlers and want to be a part of a new learning nest for our new pēpē space.

The Hutt Valley

We three centres are the Millie's House originals! And in 2024, we welcomed Childhood Concepts to our group too. Five centres, close to each other, supportive of each other and we are there for each other, with great supportive teamwork!

We range from our smallest 36 place centre to our largest 100 place centre, all with one thing in common; small group sizes, better than benchmark ratios, care and support of our tamariki, kaiako and whanau.
